Exporting to Word for Editing and Printing

Exporting your calendar to Microsoft Word for Editing and Printing

If you choose to print your calendar, it will feature all calendar events but will not include images. You can edit the calendar in MS Word before you do the final printing.

To export the calendar to Word, go to the Download Icon in the upper left-hand corner, next to the Preview Calendar button when you are in edit mode.

When you export your calendar to Word, the Word document will display your calendar events.

It will not export or display any images you have included on your calendar.

Once you have exported your calendar to Word, you can make any necessary edits in the Microsoft Word document before completing the final printing.

NOTE: Gridlines that you see onscreen will be darker when you export the calendar to Word.

Saving your calendar as a PDF

If you would like to save your calendar as a PDF, there are two options.

  1. Click the Print icon and your calendar will open in a browser window. From this browser window, print as you normally would any webpage. In your printer dialog, most will see the option so choose "Save as PDF" rather than send it to a specific printer.
  2. Click on the 'Export' icon in Preview Calendar or Edit Calendar views and choose 'Export to Word.'  From the Word document, once you're ready to print, click "File" then "Save As.' Look for the .pdf file extension and save the calendar as a pdf.

Resizing your calendar.

At this time, the "Print View" calendar cannot be resized. It's designed to fit in the average church newsletter or bulletin and prints best on 8-1/2" x 11" paper in landscape mode.

The calendar's width cannot be changed, and the length grows automatically as needed when more events are added. This may make the calendar too long to print on a single page. Some calendars with a lot of information need to be printed on more than one page. However, if you follow the steps to export your calendar to Word for Printing, you can resize the calendar there.
